He married Wife #2 Susan Elizabeth Branch on 23 December 1846 in Franklin County, Missouri... He founded Ruckers Prairie and Established the First Post Office there... My g-grandfather, Rev./Dr. Jesse Lee WOOD and wife Mary Eliza "Molly" Hathaway (Fuson) WOOD didn't come to OR until ca. 1890 which is later than your family. However, we have never been able to determine why he came to OR so maybe there is a relationship (e.g., cousin, etc.). I've listed below the information that I have on that part of my WOOD line. Please let me know if you find a connection.
