I have Polk co death index 1903-1921; Index to the Cemetery Books of Polk Co, OR by Shirley O'Neil 2002; and all the cemetery books inc Dallas cem that have all names of interred remains.  She is not in the index or next to Pearl.  He is in Center 11 Blk; in that same area (there is no map to tell how this cem is divided up per say sections??) is a Hughes, Morris 1873- mar 1966 and a Daisey May "McBee" 1877-nov 1973 maybe his wife...Center 11 Blk.  Have you tried findagrave yet. My name is Carol and I'm doing genealogy research that has led me to  Polk County, OR and I wonder if anyone on this list has info re. my Aunt.  Her name was Miriam A. (maiden name Davis) Murray (1st married name) Hughes  (2nd married name). She married Percy Murray in Colorado in 1920, but some time after that they moved to Dallas, Oregon. Percy was a Polk County Sheriff, and some time before  1930 he went to work one day and was never seen again. Not him or his vehicle!  Family lore (theory) is that he stumbled upon an illegal liquor operation (this  was during prohibition) and was killed and he and his vehicle were 'disposed  of'. Miriam must have finally had him declared dead because she did eventually  remarry, although I don't know what year. Her second husband was Pearl H. Hughes  who died in Polk Co. 2/13/1957 (Miriam lived in Dallas till 1982, the year she  passed away). Pearl seems to have had long-standing roots to Polk Co. He  appears in the 1900 Federal Census for Dallas, Polk Co., OR with his parents,  Isaac and Mary Hughes. Any info you might have access to would be greatly appreciated, and any  suggestions for research on these people would be great too. I am in contact  with Miriam's grandson who lives outside of Portland, OR but he does  not remember where Miriam and Pearl are buried (today I left a message on  the recording for the Dallas Cemetery, but have not heard back from them as  yet). Any help/suggestions you can provide--again I'd be grateful!
