I am looking for JOHN HENRY DAVIS, born 1826 in Jackson Co., MO who married ELMIRA J. CRISP on August 11, 1850 in McMinnville, Yamhill Co. OR. Any connections? She was the daughter of WM MANSIL CRISP and Hannah WILSON of NC. Came out on the 1859 wagon train. Hi, Do you know any more about your John Henry Davis? Who his parents/ancestors were? Where he was prior to MO? I cannot connect him with my Davis's, but I still don't know my John Wesley Davis's ancestry. He was born in NC about 1824 according to census records and he lived in TN before moving to MO (Knox Co.) and then onto OR. They didn't come until 1864 to OR. It has been a brick wall for me for many years now.
