He was born in what is now Mason County, W. Va. Isaac's parents were Daniel Webster HILL (b. 1813 in Va.) and Rebecca THORNTON (b. 1818). Daniel was son of JONATHAN HILL (b. 1779 in Rhode Is.) and Roxy Ann WARNER. Their children?] 2 Bowdridge Hill b: 1838 d: in Oregon ? 2 Roxy Ann Hill b: 1841 2 Lorenzo Hill b: 1845 d: in Oregon ? 2 William Allen Hill b: 1847 2 Esther A. Hill b: 1850 2 Mary A. Hill b: 1853 2 Laban Hill b: 1854 2 Thomas Brook Hill b: 1858 2 Martha Josephine Hill b: 1859 Isaac and Mary were probably married in Mason Co., W. Va. They moved to Oregon in 1862.
