The book begins with Robert Emmerson and Sarah Compton (John Emmerson Sr's parents) and gives a detailed history of the family from Prince Edward Island to New Brunswick, etc. The book will also give an account of the Compton ancestry including Sarah's voyage from England to Prince Edward Island in 1775.
