    3. Message text written by INTERNET:ORMULTNO-L@rootsweb.com > Would this address-1295 E. 19th St. No. from March 1914 now be 1295 NE 19th? How would I check this? Thank you, Sherri Harmon < No. The houses were renumbered about 1933. There is a book which gives the change in numbers at the Multnomah County library. You can often get the exact change in numbers by comparing the reverse section of the city directories before and after the change. I have a 1930 directory here, which does not show a house numbered 1295, but 1294 is the house nearest to what today is the intersection of NE 19th & Ainsworth. Incidentally, at that time, there were only two houses beyond Ainsworth on E 19th N. So it appears as though this was an area of new growth at the time.
