the Oregon Archives have death certs from 1906 forward, but have not been able to find Ed's. I appreciate your reply. I also got a list in the index from another list member,and found another Edward, which was my first ed's son and was married to Helen...it has the cert number and everything...I am requesting that, but do not know if I can get it since he only died in 1975 and I am not a direct line decendent of his...he was my ggrandmothers brother. I feel that Oregon's archives are the best setup and run in the entire U.S....they have email reference request and they are so helpful...I have gotten so much help from them that we all know each other by name, and they probably hide when I email them!!! I wish other states would ask for the setup that Oregon has...it works soooo well.I am sending this post to a bunch of other lists i subscribe to so that others can have the e-mail address for the Oregon state archives if they have Oregon research to do...
