Hi-- Is there someone willing to look in the Portland, Oregon City Directies for the following? Edward and Dorothy BARBER: 1917 (possibly a year or two earlier, also, and perhaps 1918 and 1919) --Their daughter--my mother's cousin--Dorothy Jean Barber was born in Portland, Oregon in 1917. ALSO--could you record the information beside the name (I know it often gives the address and occupation) Arthur and Annie (Mary Ann) MAINWARING: They may have lived in Portland to be near their daughter Dorothy BARBER and son Ralph MAINWARING, during the same years. 1917, for sure, and possibly two years prior to and after 1917. These were my great grandparents. I can't find anything about them after about 1900 when they were still in Pembina Co., North Dakota. Mainwaring may have been spelled in a variety of ways--depending upon who wrote it :) Arthur was a marble cutter and stonemason in London, Ontario, Canada in 1883. Would he have been a member of the MASONS? I know my grandfather, Ralph A. Mainwaring was. I just can't seem to get ahold of any MASON information. Ralph was a member of the MT. Hood Lodge in 1913 or 1914 until he became a 32nd degree Mason (That's all I know about Masons:) Any help will be much appreciated.
