I live near FORT CLATSOP, where Lewis and Clark wintered and the SALT CAIRN is here in SEASIDE. Carla leighton@pacifier.com Dear Ms. Leighton It does look as if the one west coast venue for the National Lewis and Clark Bicentennial Exhibition will be in Oregon. However, it will not be in Astoria, but rather, most likely, in Portland. We are still in negotiations, or I could advise you of the location. However, the exhibition will be in Oregon 200 years after Lewis & Clark were in Oregon themselves (fall 2005-winter 2006). We will update our website (www.mohistory.org) with the full tour schedule and venues when everything has been finalized. Hope you enjoy it when it makes it to Oregon.
