Hello all...... I am still looking for that needle in the haystack. I'm looking for any SMITHs who have any connection to the surname BLACK and any BLACKs who have a connection to the surname SMITH. I have nothing to go on regarding the SMITH surname.....except that it was the married name of my BLACK ancestor. I don't even know her first name. I found out about her existence in August while I was in Michigan doing research by looking through old newpaper articles. She lived in Portland. I don't have the article in front of me at the moment; therefore, I can't be for certain if the article year was 1870 or 1890. Thanks, Colleen
