Willamette National is available on-line by going to the following address: http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=cr&CRid=39562&CScn=willamette & I'll caution you, though, that to the best of the knowledge of Willamette National (last time we talked with them) this was an uncorrected copy of a file that is being scanned in Washington DC, but being sent back to Portland for proofreading. Apparently this hasn't been proofread. Only entry for a Hennenhofer is the following: James Henry Hennenhofer Birth: Jul. 24, 1896 Death: May. 7, 1951 PFC, US ARMY Burial: Willamette National Cemetery Multnomah County Oregon, USA Plot: A, 0, 2570 I don't know what this tells us, whether she's buried there, or whether they're only putting in the soldiers - not the spouses, I don't know. Portland obituaries are not available on-line, nor am I aware that are there any indexes. The Multnomah County Library website is at: http://www.multnomah.lib.or.us/lib/ You do not need a membership card to access the catalog. But, as I said, they don't have the obit index on-line. They may answer an email query by checking the index. Though I would try the Vancouver paper - it'd be likely to have more information, being a smaller town.
