    3. > I am looking for Frances Bradford (born 1863) and her brothers Thomas & George GORDON who lived in Portland in 1890 - 1902 and beyond. Would anyone have access to directories that might list these people?? I would love to find out what part of Portland they lived and if they had children. Thank you. Terri< 1890 City Directory lists three George Gordons, no Thomas' George H. Gordon, plumber, rms 94 Columbia George P. Gordon, carp., bds 60 N 5th George W. Gordon, carpenter, builder, contractor & wire screen maker, 214 3d, ne cor Salmon, re. 81 N West Park Frances is not likely to be listed, unless she was widowed or worked outside the home, and you don't give her husband's name. At a later time period, a wife's name was listed behind the husbands, but not in the earlier directories. And children are only occassionaly listed, unless they are grown and working, and still living at home - one can sometimes surmise a reltionship.
