    1. [ORMULTNO-L] RE: LOOK-UPS FOR PIONEER P.O. AND PORTLAND SYMPHONY
    2. coupe
    3. Hi-- I have two requests :) First--- I need to know where to find information about carpenters who built the OLD PIONEER POST OFFICE in Portland. My grandfather--GEORGE LANDIS worked on the old post office in the late 1800's or very early 1900's--possibly as a finish carpenter. Second--- I would like to learn how to discover information about the PORTLAND (or Oregon) SYMPHONIC ORCHESTRA. My other grandfather, RALPH MAINWARING, played the trombone and possibly the coronet or clarinet for the Symphony Orchestra in the 1920's and possibly earlier (if it was formed earlier), and possibly through the 1930's. If someone could point me in the right direction or even do a look-up for me (if you have time) I would greatly appreciate any information you could share--I'm in Moscow, Idaho now and don't get to Portland as often as I'd like. Thank you so much--Linda Swanson:)
