The main public library on 10th has City Directories available for research. BUT, the war years are missing (1945/'46/'47/'48/'49). Is there a place where the telephone directories covering that period of time are available for research? I know they were trying to save paper and making 'directories' seemed like a waste of time when we were all trying to build ships, etc...but, surely a good researcher has found a way around the lack of directories. ???
