2. Curry
3. Thank You everyone who offered help and advice in locating the burial sites of Kenneth Ross and Golda Sanders. I found them thanks to your advice and help buried at Lincoln Memorial Cemetery. Thank You all so much. I still have to find Edith May Berry Ross born 1867/8 died???? and Mary Wood daughter of Golda Sanders. Hopefully she is still living and we can exchange information. A first cousin passed away the month I started looking for her. She had been living not 200 miles from me. I hope that doesnt happen with Mary Wood. Thank You all again. Phyllis pdc@thegrid.net

1. [ORMULTNO-L] Cemetery pics update
2. Hello, Just an update on Portland/Vancouver Cemetery/Funeral home pages. New cemetery pics added on 09/26/2000 (total of 48 pics): Brainard Cemetery Columbia Pioneer Cemetery Powell Grove Cemetery Lone Grave: Ramsey, Fred H. Unknown Cemetery off Burgard St. (***Please Email if you know the name of this cemetery!! Thank you) Portland,OR - Vancouver,WA Cemeteries & Photos **I have enjoyed "hunting" for these cemeteries... some have been very hard to find... I love to take some time and view the older stones... While some graveyards are in good condition, and it is obvious that someone/s takes great care of the grounds.... all too many others are terribly in need of assistance. The vandalism makes one want to cry... **also, some of the cemeteries are down-right scary to visit... some cemeteries are very overgrown with vegetation, where people can hide.... Just today there were several transients camped out in the Powell Grove cemetery.... Columbia Cemetery has a caretakers shack that (last spring) was being used by squatters and drug paraphernalia was left about.... so, if you plan on visiting a cemetery you have not been to before, please take a friend along :-) Pat

3. Jacobson-Cascade Funeral Home's phone number is 503-775-4321. Call them if you are not getting a reply to a letter. They are located on Mt. Scott, so being buried at one of the cemeteries on Mt. Scott would seem likely. Lincoln Memorial is the largest, and would seem the most likely for a 1963 burial. 1. [ORMULTNO-L] Oregon Historical Society has some City Directories
2. My husband just went to the Oregon Historical Society in downtown Portland last week and went through City Directories. You might check there to see if they have those years; he was looking at earlier years. http://www.ohs.org/ He did say it cost $6 to get in unless you have a Multnomah County library card, or it's free for seniors on Thursdays. DWK went "west" in the mid 1850's and his whereabouts were unknown until about 1895 when his sons found him operating a river ferry in Multnomah Co OR (Willamette or Columbia River?). Also, a "D Keith" appears on the 1895 Multnomah Co census. I need to know where I could find detailed info on this census. What is a good source for info about ferries in the area? Property and tax records? Is anyone researching Keiths in Oregon? Any help would be appreciated.
