    1. [ORMULTNO-L] HOLLINGSWORTH in Portland, Oregon
    2. I keep seeing all these Hollingsworth's, but none in my line. Anybody out there have a Charles Hollingsworth in the late 1800's? I haven't been able to come up with any dates on him. He was married to Lucy Thurman Jan. 3, 1893. They had five children, Clinton, Bessie, Hazel, Pauline and Hallie. Charles father was Henry Hollingsworth, son of Benjamin Powell Hollingsworth b. 1807, d. 1860. I have a gap here that I would love to be able to fill in if anyone can help. Shirley Georgia

    1. [ORMULTNO-L] Dorman Rice
    2. Hi, I'm searching for the relatives of Dorman Ort Rice, born Oct. 26, 1895 in Des Moines, Iowa. He married Pauline Brown in 1923. They lived in Portland, Oregon for years and had a plant nursery there. I think he had a son named Richard and a daughter. Dorman had 2 brothers and sisters, Ralph Russell Rice and Forest Rice, and Ivy Rice Taber and Mildred Rice Miller. Dorman is my great uncle. Thanks, Sharon Jones

    3. >IN THE EARLY 1900'S there was a robbery of a store in Portland, OR, probably the early 1920's. there was a man shot during the course of this robbery, last name was BANDY. I do not know if he was the perpetrator or a victim. the bad thing about this story is that ? bandy was my great-uncle, the brother of my grandmother. she wouldn't speak of it so I suspect he was the perp. I would like to be sure, though. i would like to get any newspaper details or police report on this, but I have no idea on how to go about finding out the newspaper of the time or how to search for it. I am not in that area, so I would like to find someone in the area who could look this info up for me. The man's fathers name was charles carlton bandy, so it is possible his name was charles , too. Thank you , list.< There is an entry in the Oregonian Index for: Bandy, Earl 30 Oct 1926, page 1 "Youthful robber killed in flight" This looks like your fellow. The person who looked it up for me indicated the "6" in the year was faint - but this was his best interpretation. There's also a: Bandy, (Mrs.) Rose E. 1883-1974 29 Mar 1874 p.42 col. 4 You could probably find someone to look up the article for you - but I would suggest that instead, you order the microfilm in on inter-library loan - for that day and for a time following. You might find other articles about the event if you read through the paper - including death and funeral announcements. 3. I received information today that my Jonas T. Clink was buried 18 February 1931. The obit says "services at Chapel of Miller & Tracey, at intersection of Washingtonand Morrison, one block beyond 20th. Interment Multnomah cemetery. " I assume Miller & Tracey was a funeral home. Does anyone know if it had any religious affiliations? Also, what cemetary was "Multnomah Cemetary"? I can't seem to find a cemetary just called "Multnomah". Any help would be greatly appreciated.
