Congratulations Dan on starting a Historical Society in the Stayton area. You mentioned you have some books of the area. My interest actually is in the Jefferson area and wondered if you - or anyone else here, for that matter - might have access to the City of Jefferson records for City officials. My grandfather, Ananias (Andy) Wilson served as an official in Jefferson for a while, I am not positive, but think he was a police or similar. I would guess this was in the time frame of 1930 - 1960. I'm sorry that I can't be more specific than that. Would anyone be able to find this info??? He lived in Marion for a number of years before moving to Jefferson. He and my grandmother, Edith Wilson, are both buried in the Friends Cemetery at Marion. My father thinks there probably are still people in Jefferson that would remember Ananias Wilson (he died in 1963).
