My great-great grandfather, Lemuel Rynearson b. 06 Sep 1828 in Northumberland Co., PA and died 14 May 1916 in Edmonds, Snohomish, WA married Elizabeth Eberhard 15 Jun 1823 in Butteville, Marion, OR. I have tried to get a marriage certificate for them, but I got a letter back from the state saying that there is no birth certificate to be found. I also looked in a book titled Marion County, OR Marriage Records 1849-1871, vol. 1. In it, it lists a Lemuel Rynearson and Elizabeth Eberham. #101 page 20. I work at the Family History Center in my home town and have gone through many, many court records and probate records. The #101 must be the marriage certificate. Is there anyone in Marion County on this list who could go to the courthouse to look this up for me? I would really appreciate it. Lemuel and his brother, Abraham, made the first plow in the state of Oregon. It is on display at one of the museums in Portland, or it was at one time. I have wrote an email to some of the museums in Portland asking for info on the plow, but as of yet, I have had no reply. Thank you for any info that anyone can give me. Dena K.
