    1. [ORMARION-L] Fairview Cem survey
    2. Cathy Morgan
    3. I need to explain to all of you that I surveyed the east and middle sections of Fairview Cemetery which contains older monuments. There is a west section I have not done yet, so the index is not complete. The west section has no older monuments, so I felt it could wait until I had another day. When I finish the west section, I will index it separately since it is much newer burials. Now if you like I can post the Fairview cemetery information to the Marion Co list, however, if you look in the ORLinn mailist archives, it has been posted in 18 parts with an additional posting of typo errors. Please enjoy.....it takes hours to do these projects, and it is only worth it if someone finds the information they have been looking for. I do apologize for the long posts, but I am not real good at this copy and paste method yet! I am now working on Fox Valley Cemetery, which is is same situation as Gates...The cemetery is actually located in Linn County, but many Marion County residents are buried there from across the river. The Santiam Canyon is an interesting area....there are two main roads going up the canyon....one in Marion an another in Linn. These people ignored county lines in all sorts of activities. Many East Linn County families had ties to Marion County people. The Weddle Funeral Home in Stayton was used both both county residents for many burials. Cathy
