For general information: NOT,NOTT,NOTS,NOTTS,KNOT,KNOTT,KNOTTS,and KNOTS are considered likely variations of the same surname. KNOX is not. I don't know why not.(No pun intended!). A KNOTTS may have several KNOTT descendants, while a KNOTT may have numerous KNOTTS descendants, or some of each.
