    3. The Oregon State Archives is in Salem on Summer Street a few blocks North of the Capitol BLDG. It is a nice quiet place to go for research, but there are parking meters that must be paid to the tune of 25 cents per 23 minutes. -- Talk to you soon.

    3. Hi list I fit the description of the fish. So, I from experience with EBay say to heed this warning. If you look in your phome book you will find a used book store and they will tell you the value of the book if they don't know they will refer you to someone who does. I learned this the hard way. Search for - surnames you are researching, genealogy, counties or states, Oregon Trail, etc. It is great fun to bid on these items.     3. Hi Verdena, I found a wealth of information on my family on the 1895 census - I used the Oregon Archives site. Type in the surname and the county - leave everything else blank. You will have to browse, but you should find something. http://arcweb.sos.state.or.us/ Then click on "search". Good luck in your search.
