being an Oregon resident I would say Portland...That is where the vital statistics records are kept anyways. But I could be wrong. ----- Original Message ----- From: <NMitch1001@aol.com> To: <ORMARION-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Thursday, June 03, 1999 7:58 AM Subject: Re: [ORMARION-L] Marion County Marriages > In what city are the Oregon State Archives located? > Thanks--- > > > ==== ORMARION Mailing List ==== > ))) > *))))* > ((0 0)) > +-----------------(_)----OOo------------------+ > Send comments about the this Mailing List to: > > Linda Nichols linred@hotmail.com > > Marion County, OrGenWeb Homepage > http://www.rootsweb.com/~ormarion/ > > +-----------------oOO-------------------------+ > /_______\ > || || > ooO Ooo > > > >

Hi list I fit the description of the fish. So, I from experience with EBay say to heed this warning. If you look in your phome book you will find a used book store and they will tell you the value of the book if they don't know they will refer you to someone who does. I learned this the hard way. Hi Verdena, I found a wealth of information on my family on the 1895 census - I used the Oregon Archives site. Type in the surname and the county - leave everything else blank. You will have to browse, but you should find something. http://arcweb.sos.state.or.us/ Then click on "search". Good luck in your search. Your second e-mail address has been placed on the accept list. This way you can send e-mail to the list from either site, but still only receive the mail at one site. No it is in Benton County. It is located on the West bank of the Willamette River a little south of Albany which is on the east side of the Willamette River and therefore in Linn County. Corvallis is in Benton Co., OR
In regard to the question from Dale West concerning which county Corvallis is in, I have found the following site to be a great help in determining counties. It is http://www.mit.edu.8001/geo. It is called Geographic Nameserver.
