That is apparently where the large Willamette Meteorote was found. Where the Village of Willamette was is apparently now within the town limits of West Linn, Clackamas County, Oregon. This location would be generaly West of Oregon City, and on West side of the Willamette River. This might be a place to search for you information. Willamette still has it's own "Welcome to Willamette" sign. It is on the Willamette River, at the mouth of the Tualatin River.
