April 18 1957 issue Scio Tribune Ed Roberts Funeral This Friday, 2 P.M. Funeral services for Ed Roberts, 68, who passed away April 6, will be conducted this Friday, April 19, at two p.m., at Weddle Funeral Chapel in Stayton. Rev. Gerald Manley, pastor of Scio Baptist Church will officiate. Interment will be at Bilyeu Den cemetery beside the grave of his wife who preceded him in death only two days and whose funeral was April 7th. Following the death of Mrs. Roberts, Mr. Roberts was taken to the home of Mr. and Mrs. Hans Peterson at Scio. Autopsy following his unexpected death proved it was caused by a heart attack (Coronary occlusion). Born Aug 14, 1883 at Scio, a son of William H. and Mary Stover Roberts, he has lived his entire lifetime in this community. Surviving is a sister, Mrs. Jewel Churchill, who resides in Portland.
