Miller Dies Sunday Night the community is deeply saddend by the passing of one of its very good friends and neighbors, Claud B. Miller who died Sunday night Sept. 9th. He resided in the community for a good many years and was always ready to lend a heldping hand when and where needed. Mrs. Miller was a Linn county native, being one of nine children born to Mr. and Mrs. Enoch Miller who were also natives of Linn county. He was born a few miles east of Albany July 17 1878. He followed various lines of work but eventually took up farming. He was married to Della Crabtree in 1932, who survives him as well as one, sister, Mrs. D. C. Pierce of Portland, and four brothers, Lindsey and Chester of Portland, Arch and Sigmun of Crabtree. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday afternoon by Rev. Holly Jarvis, pastor of Lebanon Christian Church at the Howe-Houston funeral home of that city. Pallbearers were Casper Bilyeu, Donald Kennedy, Roy Locke, Clarence Becker, Harold Reiley and Bill Easton. Interment was in the Franklin Butte cemetery." 40 Loren R.
