Lebanon Express Feb 26, 1936 John Lester Bilyeu, 40, native of Linn county, died at the Lebanon hospital Wednesday morning after a long illness. Mr. Bilyeu was born on a farm four mile southeast of Sic April 4, 1886, but had spent most of his life on a farm near Cut Bank, Mont. He had returned to this vicinity a year and a half ago chiefly because of ill health. Surviving are the widow, two children, three brothers and four sister. The children are Delmer, of Cut Bank, and Helen, of Sic. The sister are Mrs. Effie Small, Portland; Mrs. Ada Crume, Albany; Mrs. Jessie Klinge, Sic. The brothers are Ed Bilyeu, Sic; Dane Bilyeu, Silverton and Byron Bilyeu, Junction City. The father, George Bilyeu, also lives at Sic. While bringing John L. Bilyeu to the Lebanon Hospital late last week a brother, E. L. Bilyeu, suffered a broken arm when his car overturned on a slippery road north of Lebanon.
