Brownsville Times May 24, 1912 Margaret McChung was born in Ohio, January 1 1830, and died at her home in Crawsfordville, Or, May 11, 1912. Her father moved to Iowa in 1838, where she grew to womanhood. In 1853 her father came across the plains to Oregon, she going to her relatives in Ohio, where she lived until 1862, when she too crossed the plains in a company under the leadership of Captain Hiram smith. This company landed in Portland, Margaret coming to her parents who had settled at Camp Creek, OR. In 1865 she was married to Samuel Glass, who died September, 1903. For many years they made their home in Crawfordsville. They were both life time members of the Presbyterian church as had been their ancestors for generations before them. ***Note***1905 Linn co OR census has Margaret living in the household of Albert McClum 79, wd b.
