Lebanon Express June 11, 1936 Herman Otto Vehrs Funeral services for Herman Otto Vehrs, farmer of the Crabtree section, who died suddenly at the home of his sister, Mrs. James Primrose of Springfield were held at the Harry C. Howe funeral chapel on Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock with interment made at the St. Johns cemetery near Albany. Mr. Vehrs was in the company of two brothers and the party was on the way to Clear Lake for a fishing trip when he became seriously ill shortly after leaving home and succumbed at the home of his sister shortly after arriving there. He was born in Nebraska on October 30, 1887, but has spent most of his life in Linn county. Surviving him are the widow, Goldie, two children, Robert G and Dorothy Lee, four brothers, Victor and George of Condon, Lewis of Los Angeles and Bert of Lebanon; three sisters, Mrs. Anson Miller of Los Angeles and Miss Bertha Vehrs of Los Angeles.
