Lebanon Express April 29, 1968 Mrs. Margie Standley Mrs. Margie Standley, 74, formerly of 385 W. Grant St., died at a local nursing home Saturday morning, April 27. She was born Aug. 3, 1893 at Esterville, Iowa. She spent most of her childhood in Stanley, ND, where she met and married Nathaniel G. Standley July 2, 1912. He died in April of 1965. The couple came to Oregon in 1931 and settled in Lebanon in 1932. Mrs. Standley was a member of the XCL Club of Lebanon. She is survived by five sons; don G., Portland; Robert, Salem; Roy. Pierce, Idaho; Thomas and Richard, both of Lebanon; two daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Chalmers, McMinnville and Mrs. Marian Myron, Lebanon; three sisters, Mrs. Percy Woodworth, Seattle; Mrs. Lilly Bloodgood, Austin, TX; and Miss Bess Flatt, Chisholm, Minn.; 18 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Services will be Tuesday, 11 a.m. at Jost Funeral Home with the Rev. Wesley Dodge, Free Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will follow at the Odd Fellows Cemetery.
