Brownsville Times Oct 25, 1912 Sarah Ruby Bennett was born November 3, 1857, and died at her home at Crawfordsville, OR, October 12 1912, aged 54 years, 11 months and 9 days. In 1877, deceased was united in marriage with Benjamin Black, to which union nine children were born, the two eldest having died. She is survived by her husband and seven children. The children living are Mrs. Dora Rose and Myrtle, Leonard, Charles and Raymond Black, of Crawfordsville; Mrs. Ellen Winlke, of Sisters, OR and Mrs. Effie Heaton of Yreka, CA. The remains were interred in the cemetery at Crawfordsville, the funeral being conducted by Rev. G. W. Taylor of the Presbyterian church.
