Brownsville Times Aug 9, 1912 Mrs. Clyde L. Knapp, wife of Prof. c. L. Knapp, died at her home in Sodaville, Oregon at 6 a.m., on August 2, 1912, after an illness of only 8 days. Mrs. Knapp was born in Marion county, Oregon, and was married to Clyde L. Knapp January 22, 1896, to which union were seven children born, four of whom survive her and three died in infancy. She united with the Brownsville Baptist church nearly 20 years ago and has been a faithful follower of Christ until her death She leaves a husband, Prof. C. L. Knapp; a daughter Margaret Knapp, three sons, Delford, Ernest and Miles, the youngest being only 2 years of age, a father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. J. F. Savage, who live at Aumsville, Oregon. Three brothers, Frank, John and Earnest Savage, and a sister, Mrs. Lucille Smith, all of whom reside in and near Salem, Oregon, and a sister Mrs. Elva Martin of Brownsville. Interment made in the Baptist cemetery at Brownsville, funeral service conducted by Rev. A. M. Williams, of the American Baptist Home Mission Society, assisted by Rev. R. F. Jameson of Lebanon and Rev. C. M. Cline pastor at Brownsville. Her death came as a shock to all and many homes will mourn her loss. She was a willing worker for the cause of Christ and was loved by all who knew her. Her heart-broken husband and children have the tenderest sympathy of their many friends.
