Brownsville Times May 31, 1912 Mrs. Jerry Hay, an honored pioneer lady of Harrisburg and mother of Mrs. M. C. Carolin of this city, died May 22, after an illness that lasted for some time. Deceased was born in Edgar county, Illinois, June 7, 1849. She crossed the plains to Oregon with her parents in 1860.
