Brownsville Times Jan 24,1913 Minerva T. Hanna was born in Tennessee, April 14, 1830, and died at the home of D.F. Newland, northwest of Brownsville, January 17, 1913. At an early age she moved with her parents from Tennessee to Iowa, were the family resided until they crossed the plains to Oregon in 1854, settling in Linn county. She was married to Robert Harrison in 1857. Mrs. Harrison was a well known and highly esteemed pioneer woman. She was the mother of a large family of children, and leaves to mourn her demise four sons and two daughters, besides 26 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. The children are; Thomas, George, Joseph and W. A. Harrison, and Mrs. N. P. Crume and Mrs. Rachel Newland all residents of Brownsville and vicinity. The funeral was conducted from the home of her son, George Harrison, on Sunday at 11 o'clock, Rev. W.P. Elmore preaching the sermon, followed by interment in the Baptist cemetery.
