Brownsville Times July 12, 1912 Carroll Keith Mickalson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Mickalson, of Crawfordsville, was born at Crawfordsville, Linn county Or, December 29, 1905, and died July 6, 1912, of bowel complaint, at the age of 6 years, 6 months and 7 days. Little Carroll leaves his father and mother, three sisters and three brothers, besides many relatives and friends to mourn his loss. He was the light of the home, and lived a beautiful life, always a bright, sweet, patient little fellow to his brothers and sisters. a place is vacant in his home and Sunday School class that can never be filled. We grieve because we love him, but can say in our hearts, "O God, thy will be done." It is so hard to give him up--to have the family circle broken. "suffer little children to come unto me, for of such is the kingdom of Heaven.: The funeral was held from the family home Monday, conducted by Rev. Levi Day, pastor of the Crawfordsville M. E. Church; followed by interment in the Crawfordsville cemetery.
