Albany Dem. Herald May 6, 1913--Dec. 11, 1995 SWEET HOME-----Clyde Buckner, 82, of Sweet Home, died Monday at Twin Oakes Care Center. Mr. Buckner was born in Gem, TX, the son of Joseph and Sarah (Shackelford) Buckner. He grew up in TX and moved to Burbank, CA; in the early 1930s. He married Josephine Cotton in Burbank in 1933. She died in 1979, and Mr. Buckner moved to Sweet Home. He worked in Burbank in the aircraft industry and later as a realtor. He belonged to the Church of Christ and had served as an elder in his church in Burbank. Mr. Buckner is survived by sons Clyde Jr. and Edward, both of Lebanon; daughters Jeanne Witham of La Mesa, CA, and Mary Reynolds of Auburn, CA; and 15 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren. Two brothers and three sisters died before him. A graveside service will be held Monday in Lafayette, CA, at the Oakmont Cemetery. Huston Funeral Home of Lebanon is handling arrangements.
