Albany Democrat-Herald Tuesday September 14, 1954 DEATH CLAIMS CHARLES MERRILL LEBANON-Charles Edward Merrill, 75, died at his home on RFD No. 2, Sweet Home, Monday afternoon. The funeral will be at the Huston Chapel, Lebanon, at 1:30 Wednesday aftenoon. Interment will be in the Crawfordsville union cemetery. Mr. Merrill was born in Cleveland, Ohio, Aug. 12 1879, the tenth of eleven children. He married Leona Case, at Ainsworth, Nebr., Sept 9 1906. He came to Sweet Home from Ainsworth in 1941 and has since resided on his farm near there. The deceased is survived by the widow , a son, Charles Leon Merrill, a daughter, Mrs Grace Williams, both of Sweet Home; 8 grandchildren, 49 nieces and nephews. One brother, Walter, survives in Omaha.
