Hi In the 1878 Illustrated Historical Atlas of Marion & Linn County, under map #10, it shows the Wm. McCulloch land claim on Muddy Creek. There's a copy of the book at the Linn Genealogical Society, downstairs in the Linn County courthouse. The book isn't kept on the shelf and I'm not sure if all the volunteers know of its location, but if your in Albany on a Wednesday afternoon stop by and I can show you what your looking for.
