A., I think almost all of what you have below is correct. I think George and Jane had another child between Thomas J. and Eunice; Jane, b. 1856, OR per the Albany, Linn Co. 1870 Census. I think the E. Cline on the 1880 Syracuse, Linn Co. Census was Eunice because I think the J. E. Claypool was Jane Jr. Charles Oliver Cline was living in Hooper, Whitman Co., WA on June 5, 1917 (when he filled out his WWI Draft Reg. card). He was b. 28 June 1888, Albany, OR. In 1917 he was a clerk general merchandise at McGregor Land & Live Stock Co., Hooper. He was married but didn't claim his wife as an exemption from service. He was medium height, slender build with grey eyes & brown hair. A Charles Cline, 540-10-2371, whose last benefit check was sent to Albany was b. 28 June 1888 and d. Nov 1967. His soc. sec. # was assigned in OR before 1951. Source: Social Security Death Index (which you can access at no charge).
