Albany Demarcate Harold Jan 1981 (forgot to write down the day) Joe Madarus Scio--Former Scio resident, Joe Madarus, 65, more recently of Gardner, died Wed at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eugene after an extended illness. Memorial services will be at 2pm Sat in the Reedsport Kingdom Hall. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Madarus was born Jan. 5, 1916 at East St. Louis, ILL. and moved with his family to Scio in 1920. Survivors include his wife, Betty; one daughter, Sandra, Fairbanks, Alaska; one son, Dennis, Portland; his mother, Anna Madarus, Albany; one sister, Mary Rice, Scio; three brothers, William and henry, both of Albany, and John, Salem, serveral grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
