I don't know if this is "my" Catherine, but I suppose it could be. Adam Shanks married Catherine Thomas- Adams on 16 Mar 1854 in Ray Co., Missouri. I see the Authority date is in 1850, so at that time she would have been an Adams still. There is no evidence I am aware of that she travelled west, and on the 1870 census she still appears in Knoxville, Ray Co., Missouri census records. She is age 67 at that point.
