Nathaniel McCartney's Bond Territory of Oregon County of Linn Know all men by these presents that we Nathaniel McCartney, Peter Smith and John J Crabtree are held and firmly bound unto the Territory of Oregon in the sum of Ten Thousand Dollars for the payment of which well and truly to be made, we jointly and severally bind ourselves, our heirs, executors and assigns; sealed by us and dated this 24th day of October 1854. Whereas Nathaniel McCartney has this day been appointed by the Judge of Probate in and for the County of Linn aforesaid administrator of the estate of Stephen Stewart deceased late of said County. The condition of the above obligation is such that if the said Nathaniel McCartney shall faithfully administer said estate according to laws, the above bond to be void, otherwise to remain in full force.
