The Heritage Shopping Mall in Albany [Geary & 14th] is having a three-day celebration of Our Heritage, Feb. 25-27, 2000. Individuals, groups, and associations are invited to join. The primary purpose of the event is to share, educate and entertain members of our communities through displays and demonstrations. They want to show what a dynamic and interesting time in history proceeded us. Their intention is to schedule a full list of demonstrations during the three days, including soap making, weaving, spinning, quilting, square dancing, and much more. County and City Museums and Historical and Genealogical Societies are also invited to bring displays and offer other interesting activities. For more information, or to schedule a demonstration time, please contact any of the following committee members: Dick Milligan ([email protected]), Linda Ellsworth ([email protected]), Glenn Harrison ([email protected]), or Amy Bresler at the mall. Electricity and covered 8' tables are available. Setup can take place on Thursday evening at 9:00 p.m. and fine take down will be Sunday, Feb. 27 after the mall closes at 6:00 p.m. Please call the Heritage Mall, 541-967-8238, (fax 541-928-8648) to indicate your needs or find out more about this wonderful historical display of our heritage. And by all means, even if you don't participate in the displays, PLEASE come visit Feb. 25, 26, or 27th and see the fun. Yours truly will be there somewhere on Saturday, and I look forward to meeting some of you in person!
