Lebanon Express Monday April 29, 1968 GEORGE W. CRABTREE George W. Crabtree, 67, 50 N. Sixth S., died Sunday, April 28 at Lebanon Community Hospital after a brief illness. He was born July 4, 1900 at Brownsville, son of the pioneer family of Joseph and Lucille Crabtree, part of the family which settled the area now known as Crabtree. He was raised in Brownsville and lived there until coming to Lebanon in 1947 where he had since made his home. He was a retired Southern Pacific Railroad employee and farmer. He was a member of the First Christian Church, Lebanon. He married Olive I. Seleen, Oct. 1, 1940 at Vancouver, Wash., who survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Vernila Sander, Eden Prairie, Minn.; a brother, John Crabtree, Springfield; four sisters, Mrs. Anna Shea, Lebanon; Mrs. Sade Lampaman, Stayton; Mrs. Nettie Freele and Mrs. Edna Verdiech, both of Salem and four grandchildren. Services are pending at Huston Funeral Home.
