I've "rescued" an old photograph of Geo & Alma WEDDLE. It appears to be their wedding photograph, probably taken in the early 1900's with Alma appearing to be in her 20's and Geo in his 40's at the time. In addition to their names, someone has also written, "cousins of mine live at Sweet Home, Oregon" and "Mother's oldest (Amos HORNER) Brother's daughter" on the back of the photograph. Based on limited research I believe that this is a photograph of George B. WEDDLE b. 28 Jan 1866 in Crawfordsville, OR to parents Josiah S. WEDDLE and Malinda Jane SWINK. On 24 Nov 1904 he married Alma E. HORNER in Wamic, OR and died 28 Jan 1958 in Sweet Home, OR. In 1880 the WEDDLE Family was living in Brush Creek, OR and was recorded in the census as follows: Josiah WEDDLE, age 49, born KY, a Farmer, parents born PA/VA Malinda WEDDLE, wife, age 36, born KY, parents born KY Eliza A. WEDDLE, dau, age 18, born TX, at Home John H. WEDDLE, son, age 16, born KY, Works on Farm Geo. B. WEDDLE, son, age 14, born KY, at Home Coatney J. WEDDLE, son, age 12, born KY Dara A. WEDDLE, dau, age 10, born KS Tessa WEDDLE, dau, age 6, born KS Albert WEDDLE, son, age 4, born OR Bessie WEDDLE, dau, age 1, born OR In 1900 George was living alone in Sweet Home, OR: George B. WEDDLE, age 34, single, born Jan 1866, born KY, parents born KY, a Lawyer In 1910 the WEDDLE Family was living in Sweet Home, OR with census records providing the following information: George B. WEDDLE, age 44, married 5 years, born KY, parents born KY, a Farmer Alma E. WEDDLE, wife, age 29, married 5 years, 1 child/1 living, born OR, parents born MO/OR, a Taxidermist Stanley WEDDLE, son, age 4, born OR And in 1920 they were still living in Sweet Home, OR with census records providing the following information: George B. WEDDLE, age 53, born KY, parents born KY, a Farmer Alma E. WEDDLE, wife, age 36, born OR, parents born USA Stanley WEDDLE, son, age 14, born OR George WEDDLE Jr., son, age 6, born OR Alma E. HORNER WEDDLE's family can also be traced through the census records as follows: 1900 census of Sweet Home, OR: Amos HORNER, age 41, born Dec 1858, married 22 years, born MO, parents born TN/AR, a Farmer Nancy B. HORNER, wife, age 38, born Aug 1861, married 22 years, 8 children/ 5 living, born OR, parents born ME/MO William R. HORNER, son, age 18, born Apr 1882, born OR, at School Alma E. HORNER, dau, age 16, born Sept 1883, born OR, at School George A.
