    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/zcB.2ACI/34.1.1.1 Message Board Post: Dear Michael Bachelder, Thank you so much for that info. It seems to tie up a lot of what I've been working on. My Barnard family moved to Missouri from Tennessee and the James I am looking for was in the 1850 census with his brothers, sisters and Mother Pheba Barnett (later census listed them as Barnard) but then he disappears. In that census he is listed as not being able to read or write as is the James in Linn Co. Sarah is listed as being born in Missouri so perhaps they met on the way to Oregon. The fact that he named his youngest child Phebey is possibly circumstantial but compeling. I shall now look to se if I can find a Sarah Carter in the same area of Missouri in 1850 and get back to you. Thanks again.

    1. [ORLINN] PREEVER - HEYNE Family Photograph
    2. Shelley Cardiel
    3. I've "rescued" an old photograph of Carra PREEVER HEYNE which was taken at the Crawford & Hutchins Studio in Lebanon, Oregon. The photograph appears to have been taken in the 1890's with Carra likely in her teens at the time. Based on limited research I was able to locate information regarding Carra and her family. First I know that Carra was b. 8 Jan 1882 and died June 1976 in Lebanon, OR. I believe that she was the daughter of John H. PREEVER with the family recorded in census records as follows: 1900 census of Lacomb, OR: John H. PREEVER, age 45, born Jan 1855, married 20 years, born Germany, parents born Germany, to USA 1871, a Farmer Ella PREEVER, wife, age 38, married 20 years, 7 children/6 living, born Oregon, parents unknown Carra PREEVER, dau, age 18, born Feb 1882, born OR, a Housekeeper Rest of census info is hard to make out. Elvina or Orvina PREEVER, dau, born OR, at School Male PREEVER, son, age 14, born OR, at School Rial PREEVER, son, born Dec 1889, born OR, at School Leonal PREEVER, son, age 8, born Jan 1891, born OR, at School Herschel PREEVER, son, age 2 months, born Oct 1899, born OR 1910 census of Lebanon, OR: Herman PREEVER, age 55, married 30 years, born Germany, parents born Germany, a Farmer Elvina PREEVER, wife, age 47, married 30 years, 7 children/5 living, born ID, parents born IA/MO Herschel PREEVER, son, age 10, born OR 1920 census of Tennessee, OR: John H. PREEVER, age 64, to USA 1873, born Germany, parents born Germany, a Farmer Juliana E. PREEVER, wife, age 57, born ID, parents born USA/VA Herschel H. PREEVER, son, age 20, born OR, a Farm Laborer I believe that Carra married Luther HEYNE and the couple was recorded in the 1920 census of South Lebanon, OR as follows: Luther HEYNE, age 37, born MO, parents born IN/WI Carra HEYNE, wife, age 35, born OR, parents born Germany/ID, a Saleslady Bess MORRIS, boarder, age 37, born OR, parents born MO, a Saleslady I am hoping to locate someone from this family so that this wonderful old photograph can be returned to their care. If you are a member of this family, or know someone who might be, please contact me. Thanks, Shelley

    1. [ORLINN] Samuel A. Pierce / Emily Jane Turnidge
    2. Grace Inman
    3. Hi Listers. I'm also very interested in the Pierce/Turnidge info, because Delilah Lane Pierce, the last of their children, was my grandmother. Delilah married Silas Edward Swift, and my mother, Mary Elizabeth Swift, was their 4th child, born in Whitman County, Washington. BTW, I show that Emily Jane Turnidge was born 01 Feb 1839 in the city of Oregon, Holt County, Missouri. Anyway, I'm delighted to have this new info, and will appreciate anything additional that might be found. Also, I'd be happy to share what I have, but I think I would probably not be able to add much to what Crystal already has. Thank you, and Happy Thanksgiving to all, Grace ----- Original Message ----- From: orlinn-request@rootsweb.com To: orlinn@rootsweb.com Sent: Thursday, November 16, 2006 12:00 AM Subject: ORLINN Digest, Vol 1, Issue 19 Today's Topics: 1.
