My grandmother is Roberta Bramwell Dalrymple and she grew up in Halsey and later Corvallis (where she still lives). Her great-grandmother was Melvina Rust Ward. I believe our connection was somewhere in the Rust line. Melvina's sister was Charlotte Rust LaRue Chastain. Melvina is buried in Pine Grove Cemetery outside of Halsey and Charlotte is in the abandoned Rust cemetery. I can't seem to find a connection between Charlotte and the Rust who owned the land, though. I admit I haven't worked at all on any of my lines in some time. After Grandma's brother, Lindon, passed away in 2004, it lost some of its joy. He was the one who did the major research and I loved exchanging letters about our latest discoveries. It's not the same without him. :(

I was looking at it all last night and this morning. I did notice the burials at Providence Cemetery. There is a listing for Caroline Bean with 1865-1900. This would be consistant with the dates in the listing for Amanda spouse in the 1900 census. Also the mention of a Rachel 1885- 1887. Earnest mothers name was Rachel. We are related to the Ohio Beans. I have found that Earnest took his mother maiden name of Bean. His father was Allen Beans and was killed in the civil war his wife was Rachel Bean. I have a picture of the three brothers probably from around around 1880's . The brothers were Allen Myron of Ohio, Lindell O. of Camanche, Clinton, Iowa and Earnest L. of Linn County Oregon. I have also been looking for Thomas, Mildred, and Gussie in the SSN records. Thanks again for ALL your efforts.
