They are buried in the Pugh and Pleasant Butte cemeteries. Does anyone have any information on how to obtain a photograph? Also wondering if there is any old history of those pioneers? My Thompson family came west from Newton co., Missouri in 1852 and settled in Linn co. The brother of my ancestor settled at Shedd and started the first Methodist church there. Their sister and husband, Rev.Wash Walker, also came with the wagon train and eventually settled in Wasco co.,OR. They are buried in the Wasco Methodist church cemetery. Joseph and Mercer were two brothers married to two sisters, Elizabeth and Sarah Donaghe, daughters of Hugh Doneghe, a McDonald co., MO. farmer. Joseph and Mercer were the sons of John Thompson. Their mother died while Mary was still a small child. Any information is welcome particularly from descendants of these lines.
