I found it in a box of misc. items in my parents attic. How they came by it I have no clue. I checked census records for the names and it was "100% accurate". The paper and writing also indicated that it was "very old". The information has been forwarded to a decendant of the Marvin/Martin family and if she wishes to post it for others, that is her decision to make... 1. [ORLINN] HARBIN FAMILY
    2. Joan Marie Meyering
    3. Hi Neighbors, In my efforts to research the HARBIN family longer ago and farther away I have been mostly overlooking the ones right here in Oregon, namely the descendents of Edward V. HARBIN (1815-1862) & Elvira/Elmira BURTON of Lane & Linn counties. Is anybody on this list connected with them? E.V.'s daughters married Samuel NIXON, Wm. MCMECKIN, and Wm. WHITNEY, his son James married Mary CLARK & Linney HUTTON. I am primarily interested in the later whereabouts of son Abraham b 1862 & in Prineville in 1890, & more about son Edward Villers Jr, b 1863, in Prineville 1900-1937 when he died. Did he ever marry? I have more census & bio information and would be interested to hear from others with knowledge of this family. Joan Marie in Salem

A., I think almost all of what you have below is correct. I think George and Jane had another child between Thomas J. and Eunice; Jane, b. 1856, OR per the Albany, Linn Co. 1870 Census. I think the E. Cline on the 1880 Syracuse, Linn Co. Census was Eunice because I think the J. E. Claypool was Jane Jr. Charles Oliver Cline was living in Hooper, Whitman Co., WA on June 5, 1917 (when he filled out his WWI Draft Reg. card). He was b. 28 June 1888, Albany, OR. In 1917 he was a clerk general merchandise at McGregor Land & Live Stock Co., Hooper. He was married but didn't claim his wife as an exemption from service. He was medium height, slender build with grey eyes & brown hair. A Charles Cline, 540-10-2371, whose last benefit check was sent to Albany was b. 28 June 1888 and d. Nov 1967. Bet Joe Schultz and many others could tell us alot about those days. I look back on the 50s and 60s with fondness. and appreciate anyone who is willing to share their histories. Too bad we do not have a place to post histories about the Scio, Lebanon, Stayton areas where folks could tell what their families did during the WWII years or before. Lots of logging in that area too. My Dad worked for a time for Lulays. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. 2. Re Message Board Post: I can probably get you a phone number of someone, or suggest you call either Sweet Home Genealogy or Linn County Historical Society and ask for Glenn The museum is a wonderful resource! Also, right down the street is, I guess, the town council building...or some such. They have the cemetery index there, in a card file. I think they do the upkeep. I have several photos taken in the cemetery from 4-6 years ago...a beautiful hill site and vista. I have Thompsons buried there. Enoch and Mary Kinzie Thompson were my gg grandparents...some of their descendants are buried in Pioneer Cemetery. http://www.co.linn.or.us/museum/ Geraldine "Jay" Ingersoll ************************************** See AOL's top rated recipes (http://food.aol.com/top-rated-recipes?NCID=aoltop00030000000004)

There were a number of women that worked at the mill. Many worked in what was called the battery seperator. The mill was started in the early 1940's, Some of the local business men and a couple doctors were involved in the financing of the mill to get it built. There were numerous families that came from the southern states to work in the mill. If I remember correctly there were over 600 employees and it was classified as "vital to the war effort". When I was a child, I remember the mill whistles from the paper mill and the plywood...CrownZ blew at 7am..12noon..and 5pm. The plywood blew at 8am...1pm..and 4pm. We could tell when it was time to go to work in the fields, eat lunch, and go home for supper. this has nothing to do with Mr. Schultz, just a "memory" about one of Lebabon's major industries.
