She was born Oct. 8, 1947 to Carl Johnson and Agnes Mae Howe in Wolverine, Mich. She attended school in Michigan. She traveled throughout Oregon and Washington, picking various fruits and berries, and ran a mink farm in Usk, Wash. in the 1970s. She worked in the Fern Shed in the late 1980s through the early 1990s. She also worked for Boeing Mechanical Manufacturing. On Feb. 8, 2002, she married John Charles Willis at Tidewater Fire Hall and Community Center. In more recent years, she was a homemaker and an active member of the Moose Lodge. She enjoyed arts and crafts, drawing, and doing puzzles and painting. She was preceded in death by her brother, Homer Abbott; sister, Emma Reedy; and first husband, Charles David Johns. She is survived by her husband, John Charles Willis, of Waldport; children, John Willis of Tidewater, Chuckie Johns of California, Mark Keeler of McMinnville, Brenda Keeler of Portland, Jeffrey Lee (Cheris) Lane of Portland, Daniel (Julie) David of Coquille, and Victor Michael Johns of Waldport; seven grandchildren; and niece Kitty A.M. Zucconi, of Usk, Wash. The family will scatter her ashes with those of her sister in Cusick, Wash. Affordable Burial and Cremation is handling arrangements.
