She was born Jan. 1, 1931 to Clifton and Lovie Record in Whitesboro, Texas. She married Jimmy Yowell in Richmond, Calif., in 1951. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Jimmy Yowell; daughters, Karen and Susan; son, Timothy; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 6, at Bateman Funeral Home Chapel, 915 NE Yaquina Heights Drive, in Newport. Burial will follow at Eureka Cemetery in Newport.
