She was born Aug. 6, 1941 to Ted and Veulah Henderson in Toledo, Ore. She spent her teenage years at Baby Louise Haven, and at age 19, she went home to live with her parents in Toledo. After the death of her parents, she went to Fairview Training Center in Salem. When the center closed she was transferred to Shangri-la in Lincoln County. In 2003, she moved in with Joe and Jackie Welch, of Lincoln City, where she remained until her death. She loved holidays and any time the children and grandchildren were around her. They loved her, especially her hugs. They also loved to play catch with her imaginary spiders. She attended Bayside Chapel in Depoe Bay and looked forward to Sunday mornings in church among the congregation. She is survived by Joe and Jackie Welch; their children and grandchildren, Judy Peet, Kim Lacey, Sandy Hyduchak, Melissa Hart, and Dr. Robert Kaye. A celebration of life service will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 20 at Bayside Chapel, 145 NE Collins in Depoe Bay. Bateman Funeral Home in Newport is handling arrangements.
